Since 2017, the Concarneau Marine Station has a stereoscopic microscope that provides three-dimensional images with a high resolution and depth of field thanks to z-stack.
This Zeiss SteREO Discovery V20 stereoscopic microscope guarantees a very broad spectrum of observations from general views to very high magnifications, which are achieved by the reduced-size lenses and the zoom power incorporated in the body of the camera.

This instrument allows micro-dissections, whatever the magnification, thanks to a large operational space between the lenses and the operating surface.
Technical points:
- Motorised zoom 20:1
- Total magnification up to 225x with an optical field of 1.0 mm and a resolution of 0.8 μm
- Lighting and contrast methods based on LED lighting
