The Concarneau Marine Station is the ideal setting for courses, internships, trainings and conferences for university students, professionals, participants in citizen science, naturalists or the general public.
Teaching is an important part of the activity of the station with lectures, practical work and field courses offered as part of university courses (e.g. Master's degree of Sorbonne Universities and the Muséum national d’Histoire naturelle).
Several training courses are also offered to professionals such as fishing observers, maritime affairs officials and other government agents (PNMI, etc.), consulting firms, university lecturers, Ifremer executives, secondary school teachers, etc.
The provision of laboratories and practical work rooms allows the reception of French and foreign students under the best conditions. The diversity of marine and coastal habitats and the diversity of species present in our region form an undeniable asset for field trips. The station's premises (conference room, practical work room, small meeting rooms) are also ideal for summer schools, conferences, meetings, workshops and conferences. The station also has fibre optics for its Internet connections and WiFi terminals.
